Subscriptions allow us to continue making EVE bigger and better as well as paying our staff their monthly wages. CCP does not charge extra for game expansions.
According to the EVE F.A.Q on your website, AUR should never exist. If your own website is deceitful, why should we trust what you say? Just more food for thought.

I once bought a house in Ultima online via EBAY. Felt dirty for weeks after that.

Originally by: ArchenTheGreat Corporationism is like a virus. CCP touched Sony during making of Dust and now they too are infected. They are no longer a company. They're a CORPORATION now. Unfortunately I'm not sure what the cure is.
I know; A GOOD KICK IN THE NUTS!

From the massively article
been reading through the comments over on the Perpetuum and I'm pretty sure CCP is ****ed. not because I see a bunch of ****ed off people drama quitting, but because I see a lot of relief in people's voices. this isn't an angry mob storming off to the pub until they get tired and go back, this is a bunch of refugees desperate for shelter.
outside of "Hay, I'm from EVE too: please don't sell monocles!" virtually no one is talking about where they came from, most of what is being said is "let us know when the server cap is lifted" and questions about how the game works.
... and not just questions about the controls, questions on the details of mastering Perpetuum. These people are serious about not going back to EVE.

Again, nothing original to add, just highlighting the things I liked reading in this hyperthread and keeping it alive while I'm at it .

Originally by: CCP Pann ... As I see it, the chief complaint is regarding the high cost of goods in the Noble Market. ...
This is mind boggling... There are two options here. Either you really think the above, or you don't.
In the first case - you really think this is the reason for the bash - are you for real? I don't work with EVE. I have a social life, friends and a job. I spend some time in here (especially now) because I really enjoy EVE. It would take me about 3 minutes, tops, had I been a totally new player, to see what the 'chief complaint' is. How come someone actively working on this game cannot?
The second case - you don't think MT price of vanity items is the 'chief complaint' - this means you are literally lying.
Those are the only alternatives describing your choice of words and both are disgruntling at the least.
To make it totally clear:
- Very few players care about vanity item prices. Taken some do, it is not even closely related to the complaint you (think(?) you) are addressing as the 'chief complaint'.
- Even though the graphical issues (mostly sloppy shader coding) annoy people - the current storm is not based on performance issues, but the introduction of redundant material due to non-existant communication with the player base. The trust is the main issue - not the frame drop.
- MT including non-vanity items (e.g. game altering mechanics for money) is the core issue and if not more - the lies revolving the same. This is why a significant part of your playerbase is revolting. This knowledge should not be hard to condense and extract from reading the forums.
